Tesla is launching an update to its major software version 10.0, adding more entertainment options, including Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, and more. Tesla announced that the biggest update yet to the company’s electric vehicle program has begun to be offered to a limited number of US beneficiaries. Tesla’s version 10 software update releases Smart Summons, which allows some car owners to call their car when it’s line of sight.
According to the company, video services can only be viewed when the vehicle is parked, but the Stotify integration is a huge request for Tesla users. Plus, people who live their music on Bluetooth will now appreciate the album art featured on this Tesla display. Tesla is also developing a “Car Aoki” feature, which has been widely requested by consumers, including a library of music and song lyrics that passengers and drivers can use while parked or driving. Tesla customers in China will soon get iQiyi and Tencent Video in the car with more services promised in the future.
Extras continue from there, as version 10.0 also adds Cuphead to Tesla Arcade; it includes collaborative modes and single player with USB controller support. Finally, the update introduces ‘I’m hungry’ and ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’ navigation features, allowing customers to visit nearby places or restaurants of interest.
